Week 3 Assignments

  The assignments that need to be done up to know and can be submitted for grading or should have already been submitted for grading are: (1) have started your science blog, (2) completed observation activity and summary, (3) 4th grade test (individually) and its analysis (in groups), (4) A1 (scientific me), A2 (blog), (5) posted forum reflections on the read Week 1 & 2 chapters. (6) created an e-folio pbworks space.

This weekend assignments are:

•  A4 
•  the cloud:  Week 3 Reflections questions. 

This entry is important to tell as a teacher for a few reasons. As a teacher it is important for students to be told what is due and what days it is due. I would as a teacher give a week by week what is due handed out each Monday. This weekly assignment sheet will be handed out Monday and will tell all the assignments that are due for that week from Monday to Friday. 

I really think that as a teacher it is important for students to answer questions. I think that it is important for students to be quiz or answer questions about things that students have read. By answering questions or being quizzed on questions based on a reading is important to help students remember the information that the students read. As a teacher I would definitely have my students answer questions to see if the students understand the material. These questions can help the students understand the material read in the chapter and it is important for students to understand the material because that material would be on the test.

It is important to go over how you are grading assignments.  As a teacher it is a good idea when handing out a weekly assignment sheet to indicate what assignments may be or are going to be graded for that week. It is also a good idea to hand out a rubric of what you want your students to include especially with written assignments and big projects  that are to be handed in. It is good to have students submit assignments for grades  and  test  students to see how students have learned.


It is important for teachers to give students assignments and to also give kids time to do these assignments. Students need the time to do the assignments and need assignments explained to do a great job on the assignment and understand what the assignment is asking. It is important to say what is to be submitted for graded so that the students do a good job on those assignments and to make sure that these assignments are handed in. 


 I really enjoyed assignment four and it is  a great assignment to do . This assignment  helped me learn more about science and education. I would have the students pick an article that is from a science magazine and has to be based on science and have the students answer some questions. I would have the students include in their journal response what the article was about?, what type of science the article uses?, and if the student liked or did not like the article? If the student liked the article then what did the student like about the article or not like about the article.This would be a great assignment for students to explore and learn about science.
