Moon Observations

What can you learn about the moon and its motions from observing and recording its
shape and noting the time you saw it?

You can learn a lot about the moon and its moon observations through doing observations and research. You can observe the moon and see the different changes and shape that the moon goes through. The moon first starts in the phase of new moon and then goes into a waxing crescent and then to a waxing gibbous and then to a first quarter before becoming a full moon and after the moon becomes a full moon the moon then does through being a waning crescent and waning gibbous before it becomes a third quarter and then a full moon and a new moon again. I find the phases of the moon to be fascinating.  The moon can bigger at certain times and smaller at other times. We can see less of the moon when it is turned away from the sun which shows the moon to the earth. Those are my observations of the moon.
